Beauty is a spicy dish
calling all senses to attention.
Especially the eyesight,
with its innocence
hopefulness and eagerness
stepping forever into the light,
turning from bareness
and isolation
toward visions
of brave new worlds.
We see beauty with all senses.
We name it Art and wish it eternity.
And worship it from afar
calling all senses to attention.

smiles....have to be careful worshipping beauty or in how strict we define it...but when we find it...we def can appreciate the art in all that is...
ReplyDeleteIt's always about the beholder. I deem that a beautiful photo. ;)
ReplyDeleteTrue. The photo is beautiful and a work of art.
ReplyDeleteThe beauty of art connect us to our deeper selves and our history as a people. I just saw the movie Monuments Men documenting the effort to recover stolen art from the Nazi's. Compelling.
ReplyDeleteIt's true, isn't it? We idolize what is far away and inaccessible.
ReplyDeleteYes! So true! And your photos -- especially the one above -- are quite definitely exquisite art!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely view from your deck. I think of you now and know Oregon has been blessed with rain...would that you could send some of that to southern California :)
ReplyDeleteI love these little poetic, morsels of wisdom. They are also, oh, so beautiful! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
Beauty and art,
ReplyDeletedistinct,
yet tied together
in the mind
and on the
wall.
Blessings and Bear hug!
