Like breathing
the ocean swells and falls
swirls and shifts
harnessing the wind and
depositing debris
as we feed on its bounty
and praise its beauty
collecting dreams of journey
with each shell and driftwood we bring home.
We think with our stomach as
much as our brain
all parts
needing all other parts
involuntarily
animated
so we can harvest sunlight
and rest in the deep
of self obsession.
We do manage to investigate hairballs.
Couldn't wait to tell you ... this morning when I opened the feature section of our newspaper .. what should I see but a HUGE article on Port Orford! I would be happy to snail-mail my copy if you so desire.
ReplyDeleteWe think with our stomach as much as our brains...
ReplyDeleteThat has been so true with me lately. Nerves are showing themselves in my stomach...
I feel the sun glimmering over the water and the breeze gently blowing my hair. I so need to visit this area some day...
ReplyDeleteWe do think with our whole bodies.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
Bears Noting
There's something about the ever changing, always the same ocean that makes us want to collect its pieces.
ReplyDeleteBeing a harvester of sunlight, I especially enjoyed this one. :)

ReplyDeleteI like the analogy of hairballs. I don't like that I actually stepped in one this morning whilst barefoot.
